A lot of new technology has been announced recently at the technology events including Windows 10, a brand new Macbook, as well as new mobiles from Samsung, Nokia and LG. Whilst this hardware and software has many new features, the latest technology in the limelight wasn’t any of the above. So what was it?
Watches, more precisely, smart watches! This type of watch has been tried before in recent years but it is only recently starting to become a frontrunner for news in technology. What does a smart watch do that a normal watch doesn’t? Well, that depends on which one you’re buying. Some of them report having heart rate monitors, GPS, the ability to recognise voice commands, and developers working on many more apps
Many companies are running for the top spot of the smart watch world, these include LG, Pebble, Samsung and Apple but it’s still a very open market which could have a lot of potential. That is if manufactures can work out what everybody wants in their smart watches.
