We are very proud to be a Silver Sponsor of this Historic Charity Event. With government funding being cut yet again, the money we raise for the village primary school is essential to keeping the doors open.

Held in the medieval village of Hatfield Broad Oak near Bishop’s Stortford and organised by St. Mary’s Primary School PTA 10K Committee, the race is held on country roads which are fully closed to traffic. The race has a very special atmosphere as residents and spectators gather to cheer on the runners as they loop through the village in a figure of eight, eventually finishing on our beautiful village green.

Our race is a real community effort with support from local companies offering sponsorship and local villagers giving up their day to help set-up, marshal and clean up after the event.

1 MILE FAMILY FUN RUN

It’s lovely to see visitors and children from the school, past and present, participate in our family Fun Run held after the main 10k. Last year we had over 500 children and parents participate! Dogs and buggies welcome. For a £1 donation you can be the proud wearer of our brand new Fun Run sticker.

There is also the Flower Festival held over the Bank Holiday Weekend so there’s plenty of things to do for people of all ages over the three days including Tea-Tent, Bouncy Castles, Bar-B-Q, Licensed Bar, Dog Show, Car Show, Coconut Shy, Brick-a-Brack and much more.

Held on Bank Holiday Monday 27th of May, it’s a great day out for all the family.
