We assess the risks

First Stop IT analysts will work with you, carrying out business impact analysis and risk assessment to identify the business functions that are most critical to you, the IT systems that you need to support those functions, and the risks posed to those systems. We work with you to determine the likelihood and the business impact of various scenarios in order to work out the most likely threats to your business systems.

A full assessment will be made and our findings will be presented in a report including any improvements recommended to mitigate risk and provide resilience in your organisation. This report will provide the starting point for business continuity planning activities.

We design a plan

Working from the risk assessment and business impact analysis, we will work with you to design processes and systems to mitigate the risks that have been identified.

We will work with you to ensure that the data, access and communications systems that you rely on are resilient to failure. This may include hosting entire backup systems in the cloud, ensuring you have duplicate services and spare hardware on site, and creating new data back-up processes.

We create continuity plans and rapid disaster recovery plans to make sure that you can continue to trade during or after a major disaster, this may include designing manual processes to be implemented during your recovery period. We create a rapid disaster recovery plan to make sure that you return to normal operation as quickly as possible.

We execute your recovery

If the worst were to occur First Stop IT will be there, remotely or on-site to support you while you adjust to trading using your continuity systems.

We will be implementing your rapid disaster recovery plan as it has been designed and updating your stakeholders at key points during the recovery process.

This may include sourcing new hardware, rebuilding systems, recovering data from backup, or even refitting your entire office following a major disaster.
